Macrium Software sets up a Jisc Agreement to Support UK & Ireland Educational Institutions

 

Macrium Software has set up the Jisc agreement, available through the Chest platform, making its backup, recovery, and deployment solutions available to Higher and Further Education institutions across the UK and Ireland at exclusive educational rates.

The three-year agreement enables institutions to purchase Macrium's enterprise-grade software through a streamlined procurement process with pre-agreed terms and significantly reduced pricing compared to commercial channels.

The partnership addresses critical challenges facing educational institutions, where 97% of higher education institutions identified a breach or attack in 2023 to 2024. Key benefits for education include:

Educational institutions can choose from flexible licensing options including annual, 3-year, or 5-year terms, with additional discounts for multi-year commitments and protection from year-on-year price increases.

To support implementation, Macrium will host two dedicated webinars for educational institutions - one focused on backup and recovery, and another on deployment solutions. Both will feature practical demonstrations and real-world case studies from universities currently using Macrium solutions.

The Jisc agreement runs until 17 August 2028 and is available to Higher and Further Education institutions, Research Councils in the UK, and Universities and Colleges of Further Education in Ireland.

Macrium already serves prestigious institutions including the University of Leicester, University of Warwick, and University of Sheffield.
